What it’s actually like to live in Eagle.
Eagle grew up around the Boise River, and it still shows. The Greenbelt and Eagle Island State Park put paddle-boarding, beaches and miles of riverside trail inside the city limits, while the foothills rise straight north for hiking and rim-view lots.
What sets Eagle apart from the rest of the valley is space. This is the land of half-acre-and-up lots, gated estates, golf communities and the occasional horse property, most built from the 1990s onward, with the newest neighborhoods still going in today. You buy a lifestyle here as much as a house, so the lot, the setting and the HOA matter as much as the square footage.
And unlike a typical suburb, Eagle has a real downtown: independent restaurants, shops and a Saturday farmers market along State Street, so you rarely need to drive to Boise for a night out.
