What it’s actually like to live in Star.
Star is the valley’s quiet corner. It sits along the Boise River northwest of Eagle and Meridian, and for years it was farmland with a tiny main street. Now it’s one of the fastest-growing towns in the area, but it’s still small enough to feel like a small town.
The draw is simple: space and value. New subdivisions and larger lots sit next to established rural acreage, so you get a newer home with more yard than you’d find closer in, often for less money. The trade-off is the commute: Star is at the west edge of the valley, so plan on a longer drive to Boise. For a lot of our buyers, that’s a fair exchange for the quiet.
You’re still close to everything Eagle and Meridian offer, a short hop east on Highway 44, while coming home to somewhere calmer.
